British Triathlon Federation

British Triathlon is now a Federation who members are the three Home Nation's Associations of Triathlon England, triathlonscotland and Welsh Triathlon.

British Triathlon is responsible for matters such as the Great Britain Elite, Age Group Teams, British and international events, Anti-Doping and International Representation. British Triathlon also manages a number of services which are shared with the three Home Nations.

Home Nation Associations

The three Home Nation Associations of Triathlon England, triathlonscotland and Welsh Triathlon are responsible for membership schemes, Home Nation teams, and the development of participation, clubs, events and volunteers in their territories.

Triathlon England

Triathlon England is the membership organisation for triathlon in England. If you reside in England or are eligible to represent England you should join Triathlon England. Members will be affiliated to a region and can vote for their regional committee. There are nine regions in England which correspond to the English regional government areas. Each region has a representative who sits on the Council of Triathlon England. Triathlon England is governed by a Council and managed by an appointed Board of Directors.

triathlonscotland

Triathlon Scotland triathlonscotland is the membership organisation for triathlon in Scotland. If you reside in Scotland or are eligible to represent Scotland you should join triathlonscotland. Members can vote annually for the triathlonscotland Board of Directors.

Welsh Triathlon

Welsh Triathlon is the membership organisation for triathlon in Wales. If you reside in Wales or are eligible to represent Wales you should join Welsh Triathlon. Members can vote annually for the Welsh Triathlon committee.

Membership

Membership of Triathlon England, triathlonscotland and Welsh Triathlon is endorsed by British Triathlon. Membership cards indicate that the individual member is endorsed by British Triathlon to compete internationally. British Triathlon recognises members of the three Home Nation Associations for the purpose of entering Great Britain Championships, Ranking Series and qualifying events.

There is mutual recognition of Triathlon England, triathlonscotland and Welsh Triathlon memberships. Therefore a member of one association can take part in competition registered by another association using their Home Nation membership. They are not required to take out separate day membership.

All three Home Nation Associations offer a package of member benefits which include public liability insurance, personal accident insurance, free legal service and information services.
