Ultimate members are provided with £15 million worth of Public Liability insurance - this covers you whilst training/racing in British Triathlon permitted events and racing at World Triathlon or Continental (ATU, ASTC, CAMTRI, ETU, OUT), IRONMAN, Challenge, Powerman, Xterra, Castle Series and Super League Triathlon sanctioned events.

This 365-day-a-year insurance gives peace of mind that if you cause an accident or damage to another person or their property whilst training or racing you are protected. You can focus on pushing yourself to keep developing in triathlon without any additional worries should an unfortunate accident occur.

Overseas Residents

We are only able to provide public liability insurance as part of Membership to UK residents. If you live abroad permanently, no public liability will be provided by British Triathlon through either our membership packages or through a Race Pass.

We hope that your commitment to triathlon is never interrupted by an accident, but should an incident occur that you consider was not your fault our Legal Partner, Leigh Day*, can provide you with great legal advice and support you through the process of making a claim for compensation.

The service is provided on a discretionary basis to members who have suffered injury or loss in an incident that was not their fault whilst training or racing as a pedestrian, cyclist or swimmer in Britain.

Members successfully pursuing a claim through our Legal Partner are covered for all legal fees and will be entitled to retain 100% of any compensation recovered.
