QUALIFICATION:

To qualify to represent the West Midlands at the IRCs, an entrant must be registered for the West Midlands Regional Series by 03/04/10, and must be a Triathlon England (TE) member, with a membership card viewed by the Regional Young Person's Coordinator PRIOR to the start of a qualifying event. Membership cards can also be accepted via a scanned copy in an e-mail to westmidstri@britishtriathlon.org - showing a valid expiry date of 31/03/11 and a  Region code of West Midlands. Athletes can only represent the region shown on their TE licence and can only represent one Region in any one year and must represent the same Region in Aquathlon and Triathlon.

SELECTION:

Tristar2  (Ages 11/12)  

The top two girls and top two boys will be selected from the qualifying event, West Midlands Region OPEN WATER Aquathlon, 4th July (Top Barn), together with one girl and one boy in the age group as reserve.

Tristar3  (Ages 13/14)  

The top two girls and top two boys will be selected from the qualifying event, West Midlands Region OPEN WATER Aquathlon, 4th July (Top Barn), together with one girl and one boy in the age group as reserve.

Youth  (Ages 15/16)   

The top three females and top three males will be selected from the qualifying event, Barton Marina OPEN WATER Triathlon, 6th June, together with one female and one male in the age group as reserve.

NOTES:

In the event of the qualifier being cancelled or postponed a further decision regarding IRC selection will be made by the West Midlands Regional Committee.

Unless sponsorship is found, qualifying athletes will need to fund the required IRC kit.

All athletes who qualify, and reserves, will be required to attend the regional training sessions. Non attendance is only by prior agreement of the IRC Team Manager, Andy Teagle.
