The Brownlee Tri is delighted to announce its partnership with yoghurt brand The Collective for the Kids Duathlon at the 2015 event.
The free Kids Duathlon at the Brownlee Tri, delivered by British Triathlon Trust, will now be known as The Collective Kids Duathlon.
Commenting on the partnership, Alistair Brownlee said: “We are delighted that The Collective are on board with the Kids Duathlon. It will encourage families to come down and introduce their children to running and cycling in a safe environment”.
The Collective Kids Duathlon will consist of two 150m run loops, a transition area and a 400m bike loop. Children taking part can either ride their own bikes or borrow one for free and everyone that takes part will receive a finisher’s certificate, tattoo and medal.
Speaking about The Collective Kids Duathlon, Mike Hodgson Managing Director (and proud Yorkshire man), said he was “delighted that The Collective would be involved in a great event for a great cause.” He added “We think it’s really important for kids to get out and about, get active and have fun, that’s why we’re excited to be supporting the Kids Duathlon”.
In addition to The Collective Kids Duathlon, there will be Sprint and Super-Sprint distances available with youth and adult categories, as well as mate’s waves and a Sprint and Corporate Relay. There will also be plenty for spectators and supporters to enjoy, with a host of activities in the Entertainment Village ensuring a fun day out for the whole family.
There is no need to sign up for The Collective Kids Duathlon in advance; kids can just turn up to Harewood House on September 26th and take part for free.
