5th April – Great North Trail TriathlonBradford Council Contact Us Banner

A pool based triathlon. The swimming is held in the small community pool at Queensbury. The adjacent Great Northern Trail cycle route is utilised for the bike and run sections

5th April – The Dales Duathlon

The Dales Duathlon is set to be a fantastic event, based in the beautiful setting of the East Yorkshire Dales.

The race will be hosted at Brantingham Park, East Yorkshire and will provide racers and supporters with a grandstand finish, live entertainment and sports specialist stalls.

12th April – Skipton Triathlon

Image result for skipton triathlonA pool based Sprint Distance Triathlon, Ideally suited to the Novice competitor or the more experienced triathlete. The extremely friendly atmosphere that goes with this event always attracts a large number of first time triathletes. Situated at the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, you can be guaranteed of a beautifully picturesque and achievable course.

26th April – GO TRI HULL part of the GO TRI 1000 Weekend!

GO TRI Hull

The aim of the events is for people to discover the sport and enjoying the achievement of finishing an event and believing that triathlon and its multi related distances is for them. Every Month throughout the year Humber Triathletes will be hosting these low key events at East Park, Hull.  The model boat lake is being drained, cleaned and refilled at the moment for our use, so until then will be organising Duathlons consisting of a 1.5km run, 6.6km bike and a 1.5km run.

26th April – Wakefield Junior Duathlon

Thornes Park CollegeThis event is part of the Yorkshire Region’s Children’s and Youth race series, which is made up of events in the region. The series is open to all Members of Triathlon England aged between 8 and 16 and prizes are awarded to the first three in each category.

This event is on grass and through woodland, therefore a cyclocross or mountain bike is most suitable. It may be damp / muddy in places and therefore unsuitable for a road bike.  If you have no alternative, a road bike should have cylocross tyres fitted.

4th May – Tadcaster Cyclesense Sprint Triathlon

This is an ideal race for beginners looking for a short distance race without the extra challenge of open water or experienced triathletes who are looking for an early season warm up event.

The event will be a fund raiser for Tadcaster community pool if you would like to help raise funds to maintain the Community Swimming Pool which is run as a charity click here to e-mail Chris at the pool.

10th May – Holme Moss Duathlon (Hell on t’Hills)

A Challenging but achievable on road Duathlon taking in fantastic views of the Holmfirth (Last of the Summer Wine) countryside, south of Huddersfield.

Organised and marshalled by Holmfirth Harriers the Race consisits of: 7km run, 33km bike, 5km run

10th May – The Harrogate Triathlon

Start the season with the fantastic Harrogate Triathlon on 10 May 2015 taking place in and around the beautiful spa town of Harrogate. The event is organised by Harrogate Tri Club and aims to be family-friendly with a Try-a-tri and a sprint triathlon offered. To keep spectators entertained, there will be plenty of fun activities near the transition area (not to mention that competitors in the sprint triathlon will pass by 6 times). Sprint Triathlon: Swim: 420m Bike: 24km Run: 5km Try-a-Tri: Swim: 180m Cycle: 12km Run: 2.5km

17th May – Cleveland Sprint Triathlon

The swim will be 400 metres [16 lengths in Stokesley Leisure Centre's 25 metre 6 lane pool]. The bike will be approximately 11 miles in the lanes around Stokesley, Ingleby Greenhow, Battersby etc. The course is undulating. The run is 3 miles and is an out and back course.

17th May – Driffield Triathlon

DRI2015 03A pool based Sprint Distance Triathlon, Ideally suited to the Novice competitor or the more experienced triathlete. The extremely friendly atmosphere that goes with this event always attracts a large number of first time triathletes. Suitable for all levels and abilities. Ages Youth to 70+ Also included is the Driffield Junior Triathlon. A completely safe and self contained course with lots of opportunities to view the junior triathletes taking part.

17th May – Epworth Early Sprint Triathlon

A pool based Triathlon great for novices, starting at Epworth Pool.  Distances include a 400m Pool Swim, followed by a 20Km Bike and 5K Run.  NO entries on the Day and Online Registration Ends Midnight Sunday 10th May 2015

25th May – Wetherby Standard Distance Triathlon

 

This will be the 9th year that this race has run gaining in popularity each year. The course starts with a 1500m swim in the river up and down stream. The out and back bike is mainly on the fast and quiet A168 to Boroughbridge.  The run is on the traffic free sustrans cycleway between Wetherby and Spofforth.

30th May – Gr8events Aquacycle

Image result for gr8eventsThe event is open to everyone, especially those who like to swim and bike, but prefer not to run, whether this be through choice or injury. Choose from two distances: Short course: swim, comprising of 1 lap, followed by a 1 lap, 23 mile cycle on public roads. This is a perfect distance for those of you who are new to multisport events. Long course: 1500m swim, comprising of 2 laps, followed by a 2 lap, 46 mile cycle on public roads.
