Glasgow 2014 opens search for 15,000 friendly faces of Games

Glasgow 2014 is looking for up to 15,000 of the friendliest people to volunteer at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games from 23 July - 3 August 2014.

In particular, Glasgow 2014 is looking for volunteers from within the sport of triathlon, to fill a variety of sport specific roles at Strathclyde Country Park.
 
triathlonscotland, the National Governing Body for the sport in Scotland will be working with Glasgow 2014 to assist in identifying suitably qualified and experienced volunteers with the knowledge and skill set to support the triathlon events. However, Glasgow 2014 will make all volunteer appointments decisions. 
 
Specifically, Glasgow 2014 is looking for individuals with the technical understanding of the sport who could fulfil one or more of the following roles:
 
  • Field of Play
  • Athlete Services
  • International Federation Services 
 
To register now for a Games Time volunteer role, you have to do two things:
 
1) First, you must register your details via the Games Time volunteer website at this link Glasgow 2014.
2) Apply for a triathlon source code from triathlonscotland, which will enhance a volunteer’s application. 
 
The Games Time volunteer application process will be live from 14 January until 28 February only.  Once you have registered as a Games Time volunteer you can log back in at any time and upload your triathlon source code obtained from triathlonscotland.

All qualified Triathlon Technical Officials should still register as a volunteer with Glasgow 2014 and triathlonscotland.
