Published:

In an evening aimed at celebrating the performances of the Great Britain and Home Nation teams, the performances of Great Britain Age-Group Team members Jane Leslie (65-69) and Tom Stead (17-19), have been recognised at the annual British Triathlon Awards evening.

Jane Leslie and Tom Stead were named British Triathlon Age-Group Triathletes of the Year in a season that has seen the Great Britain Age-Group Team win 260 medals including 89 gold across all World and European Championships.

British Triathlon Female Age-Group Triathlete of the Year, Jane Leslie is a regular member of the Great Britain Age-Group Team and this season has won gold medals in both the ITU Triathlon World Championships and ETU Triathlon European Championships as well as achieving a silver medal in the ITU Aquathlon World Championships in Edmonton.

British Triathlon Male Age-Group Triathlete of the Year, Tom Stead is in the second season of his triathlon career, yet has already delivered an inspirational performance to finish second overall at the 2014 ETU Sprint Triathlon European Championships in Kitzbuhel, thereby winning his age-group in the process. Tom is most certainly one to watch in the future.
