Hill to compete at Edmonton ITU World Paratriathlon Event

Published:

David Hill is the lone British representative in the ITU World Paratriathlon Event in Edmonton this weekend. This is the final race of the season before the ITU Paratriathlon World Championships in Chicago, but it's Hill’s first competitive outing this year.

Having missed most of the year through injury, Hill, 26, has not raced internationally since last September. However, he’ll take on a very competitive PT4 field on Saturday, which includes Canada’s Stefan Daniel, who was the silver medal winner at the Rio Test Event last month.

The PT4 class will feature in the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games and is highly competitive. This weekend’s event features athletes from eleven different nations.

PT4 includes athletes like Hill, who have one forearm missing, but they may also have a lower leg impairment. Other British athletes in this classification (not racing this weekend) include British Champion, George Peasgood, and ITU world champion, Lauren Steadman.
