The Newcastle Triathlon are looking for a team of volunteers to help host the first ever triathlon event in the heart of Newcastle City Centre.

Saturday 19th July sees the very first edition of The Newcastle Triathlon, easily the biggest triathlon the region has ever hosted with well over 1,100 athletes from all over the country (and Europe) already entered.  As with all events, the organisors need a strong and capable team of volunteers to make things run smoothly and give the athletes a great experience.

There is short document on the event website which can be viewed here which explains what the event is, what roles are available and the timings for availability; so if you can only make a few hours, that’s great, there’s a role for you (but if you can make it all day, even better!)  It also explains the support and goodies you’ll receive as a thank you.

You will be well looked after be sure of that.  The event team have organised free hot food and drinks with snacks and water, plus a fab event shirt, a bespoke design using the latest fabrics. There’s also the offer of a free race at the Northumberland Triathlon 2014 if you’re an athlete; just let us know if you wish to take this up and we’ll be in touch.
