Paratriathlon Talent ID Event

On 3rd & 4th October, British Triathlon will again be looking for athletes who believe that they have the potential and desire to make British Paratriathlon teams in the future.

The team will be looking for athletes in all Paratriathlon categories with a view to finding athletes to compete in the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo, and beyond.

Paratriathlon will make its Paralympic debut at the Rio Games in 2016 with three male and female categories selected to represent the sport on this occasion.  The hope is that all categories will be represented in the Tokyo Games and as such the search is on to find athletes to compete across the categories to help British Triathlon maintain its position as the top Paratriathlon nation in the World.

The majority of the athletes in the British Paratriathlon Performance squad have come through Talent ID events similar to this:

If you are already competing in triathlon or paratriathlon and would like to try to take the step up to follow in the footsteps of the athletes above or if you are competing in another sport and want to try out paratriathlon, please contact Alasdair Donaldson for an application form to attend this Talent Squad Selection event.

Over the weekend British Triathlon will also be classifying new athletes. If you would like to be classified, please email Alasdair Donaldson and this can be arranged.  Please note that you do not need to be attending the talent event to be classified.
