Seven confirmed for World University Championships

BUCS and British Triathlon has confirmed seven athletes to represent Great Britain at the Nyon FISU World University Triathlon Championships, 7th August.

A strong team is set to compete in Switzerland, including four athletes who competed at the recent ETU U23 European Championships. Luke Watson has been selected as the team coach.

Women:
Hannah Drewett (Leeds University), Natalie Milne (Stirling University), Zoe Thomas (Cardiff Metropolitan University)

Men:
Calum Johnson (Leeds Beckett), Chris Perham (Loughborough College), Doug Roberts (Stirling University), Grant Sheldon (Stirling University)

The course features a 1500m lake swim, 40km bike course with a challenging climb and a flat 10km run.

British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) is the national governing body for Higher Education (HE) sport in the UK, organising leagues and competitions for more than 150 institutions across 52 different sports. BUCS is responsible for delivering Great Britain representative teams in the worldwide international university sporting programme.

The international University Sports Federation (FISU) organise a series of World University Championships (WUCs) in even-numbered years and World University Games (Summer Universiade) in odd-numbered years.
