Great Britain’s U23 and youth triathletes will be in action this weekend at the ETU Triathlon U23 and Youth European Championships in Penza, Russia.
In the men’s under 23 race, Gordon Benson will be aiming to use his experience gained from two senior ITU World Triathlon Series races this season to his advantage.
David Bishop and Morgan Davies, two athletes who won gold in the London ITU Aquathlon World Championships in the U23 and Junior races respectively, join Gordon in Russia. Liam Llyod completes the British line-up in the men’s race.
In the women’s race, Hannah Drewett is the sole representative in an event that was won by Great Britain’s Lois Rosindale in 2013.
Britain’s talented youth athletes will also be in action in the team relay events. Last year, both male and female teams won bronze medals.
