2015 British Elite Duathlon Championships

*All distances are approximate and will be confirmed in race information. Ages determined as an individuals age as at 31/12/2015
Men's and Women's races in all categories
Medals will be awarded to the first three in each category, including all Paraduathlon Classifications.
A total prize fund of £5000 will be awarded in the Junior/Senior* male and female categories, as follows:
- 1st - £1000.00
- 2nd - £750.00
- 3rd - £400.00
- 4th - £250.00
- 5th - £100.00
*Prize money is given to 5 fastest overall times across Junior and Senior categories, there is not two separate prize funds for Juniors and Seniors.
Both Youth and Junior races are part of the British Triathlon Youth and Junior Super Series.
All races are British Championships, therefore individuals must meet the eligibility requirements in the British Triathlon rules to be awarded championships medals. Athletes who are not eligible for British Triathlon medals may still race, and do qualify for any prize money available.

Interested in being part of something new?
British Triathlon are considering a filming project to get some footage of the live racing environment. This project is in the early stages of planning and not fully confirmed.
We are only seeking Senior Male & Senior Female athletes at this stage for the project. There are limited requirements from the competitor, you may be asked to place a small camera or tracer on your bike but it will not impede on your racing.

British Triathlon Photo Policy
British Triathlon photography policy will be in place for all athletes who are U18. Parents/ Carers of athletes are required to complete a British Triathlon Parental/Carer and Young Person Consent Form for the Use of Photographs and Recorded Images. It is essential that you bring this form with you to registration. If we do not receive the consent form it will be taken that you approve for your child to be photographed or recorded at the event, and as such used for promotional purposes following the event.
09:00 - Youth Women
09:45 - Youth Men
10:30 - Paraduathlon (all categories)
12:15 - Junior Men
13:30 - Junior & Senior Women
14:45 - Senior Men
Registration will take place on race day only, with registration closing for each race 45mins before the start time of that race.
Compulsory race briefings lasting no more than 5 minutes will take place 30mins before each race.
Presentations will take place as soon as possible after each race, exact times to be confirmed
Entries are full for the Senior Mens races and almost full for the Junior Mens race, these races have been split to allow more athletes to race. Any athlete wishing to enter the Junior Mens race needs to contact firstname.lastname@example.org to recieve an access code, please note there are only 3 spaces left for this race.

Entry fee includes:
- Entry to the race
- Entry to Rockingham Circuit for you and your supporters
- Chip Timing
- Athlete Souveneir
Entries close - Wednesday 18th March, Noon
Please note entries are limited and allocated on a first come first served basis, if entries are full before 18th March the Event Organiser will close entries.
Competitors are reminded that this is an elite race, only expereinced duathletes or triathletes should enter these races.
All participants are asked to read the Terms and Conditions of entry, and also the withdrawal policy. All entrants will be asked to accept these terms at the point of entry.
All races will be run in accordance with ITU Competition Rules.
The bike section for each race will be draft legal, it is the competitors responsibility to ensure their bike setup meets ITU Rules. Guidance on Draft Legal Bike Set Up can be found under the useful links on this page.
It is the athlete’s responsibility to ensure their bike complies with ITU draft legal competition rules. These can be found here.
Wheels not complying with the ITU draft legal competition rules may be used if they are included in the UCI non-standard wheels list
ITU kit rules will be in place as guidance for athletes. Whilst it is not compulsory competitors are encouraged to have their name on their kit. Front zipping trisuits must be fastened at all times and secured, failure to keep your trisuit fastened will result in disqualification. Race numbers will be used, race belts are allowed but competitors must have their number displayed properly at all times.
Where cut-off times are in place, any athlete failing to enter transition by this time will be disqualified and not allowed to continue racing. No refund will be offered to competitors in this scenario.
The event will be run using the following classifications
Any athletes without a formal classification will be placed into the category most appropriate for them by the British Triathlon Paratriathlon Performance Team in consultation with each athlete. These athletes will be eligible for championship titles assuming they also comply with the eligibility criteria for championships (i.e. are a member and British).
