Officials

The aim of British Triathlon's officials education programme is to provide the sport with well trained and competent officials who will help uphold the sports standards and therefore develop the sport of triathlon.

RefereesThe education of officials is an essential part of the development of Triathlon in the UK. Race Officials are a valuable resource and as such are rewarded for their time commitment and skills in the form of a subsistence payment of no less than £30 per event plus a payment for the mileage they have travelled in the course of their duties. For more detailed guidelines as to the level of payment officials should receive, please click on the Officials Expenses document at the bottom of this page. If you have any questions, please contact Ali Sibcy

The aim of the new British Triathlon Officials Education Programme is to service the increasing needs of the competitive programme with high quality officials trained to a consistent standard who operate in a fair and professional manner with common aims and objectives. The programme will provide clear and equitable routes for progression and development to all candidates and will ensure that British Triathlon is capable of developing high quality officials.
