When will the new memberships come into effect?
Our new memberships launched 4th March 2019, any new or renewing membership purchased on or after this date will be a new membership package.

When will I move to the new membership?
You will move to your new membership at your first renewal after February 2019, unless you upgrade earlier.

What happens to my existing insurance coverage before I move to the new package – am I still covered?
Your existing membership and its benefits including insurance is valid and will remain valid until expiry when you move on to a new membership package and new benefits.
Can I upgrade my membership before my renewal?
Yes, you can upgrade at any time during your year by contacting our membership team by email firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone on 01509 226153 (lines open Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm). Please note you can only upgrade once during a membership year.
What has happened to Coach Essential and Coach Plus memberships?
We have revamped our coach packages and as well as great added benefits the coach packages have new names. Coach Essential is now Core Coach, and Coach Plus is now Ultimate Coach. You can discover all there is to know about the coach packages here.
Student membership is for adults aged 18-24years, you don't have to be a student to get this membership package.
I have Core membership and am racing at an ITU/ETU event abroad and want to go out early to train, my Core membership doesn’t usually insure me for training abroad – am I covered?
If you have either Core, or Core Coach membership and you are attending an ETU or ITU championship that takes place outside of Britain you are covered for public liability insurance and personal accident cover as per the standard cover terms of your membership package for 4 days of training abroad leading up to the start of the event.
When will I receive my membership card?
Since March 2019 we have changed our policy on membership cards and you will now need to opt-in to receive the traditional plastic card that you may have received in previous years. New and renewing members will now default to a digital membership, which can be shown at registration direct from a mobile phone (screenshot or show the relevant page within your online membership account).
For NEW and NON-DIRECT DEBIT renewing members, you will be able to opt-in to receiving a plastic membership card during the purchase process. Those on DIRECT DEBIT will need to login to their online membership account and select 'Update Direct Debit Details' within the 'Manage Profile' section PRIOR TO their Direct Debit renewal in order to opt-in to receiving a card.
Plastic membership cards are normally sent out within 14 working days of joining or renewing. If you do not receive your plastic membership card, please email email@example.com for a replacement. If you wish to receive a plastic card after this point, you can purchase one for £5 by calling British Triathlon Membership Services on 01509 226153.
Please note that your digital membership card is valid in the same way as your previous plastic card and you can access this as an electronic / PDF membership card within your membership account at any time (see 'My Profile'). If you upload an image within your account the image will show on your electronic membership card. You can either print off the electronic card or show it from a smart device.
