Can I upgrade my membership before my renewal? How do I upgrade?
Yes, you can upgrade at any time during your year.
- Log into your acccount here
- Head to "My Profile" in your membership area
- Select "Membership Upgrade Options"
- Select the package you wish to upgrade to and view your Pro-Rata details
Please note you can only upgrade once during a membership year.
Do I have to be a student to qualify for your student prices?
Student membership is for adults aged 18-24years, you don't have to be a student to get this membership package.
I have Core membership and am racing at an Europe Triathlon/World Triathlon event abroad and want to go out early to train, my Core membership doesn’t usually insure me for training abroad – am I covered?
If you have either Core, or Core Coach membership and you are attending an Europe Triathlon or World Triathlon championship that takes place outside of Britain you are covered for public liability insurance and personal accident cover as per the standard cover terms of your membership package for 4 days of training abroad leading up to the start of the event.
When will I receive my membership card?
We no longer send out a physical membership card and instead you can now download a digital membership card, which can be shown at race registrations directly from a mobile phone (screenshot or show the relevant page within your online membership account).
Please note that your digital membership card is valid in the same way as your previous plastic card and you can access this as an electronic / PDF membership card within your membership account at any time (see 'View Membership Card' in the My Profile section).
How long does my membership last?
Your membership lasts for one full calendar year from the month in which you join. For example, if you join on 10th June 2023, your membership is valid until 30th June 2024.
How can I login to my personal member's area?
To log into My Account please use your membership number followed by the password you created when joining.
You can manage your personal details within this area as well as renewing your membership when it is due to expire. You can also upgrade your membership to the next level.
This area is also a host to the different member benefits you get with your membership.

I have forgotten my password. Is it possible to change it?
Yes, you can reset your My Account password here. Your password reset email will go to the email address you have saved within your member’s account.
How can I access my member benefits?

To activate a particular benefit follow the instructions next to it.
Please note that many of the codes work in conjunction with your membership number, and sharing these details with a friend will mean that you cannot access a particular offer, if they have already made a purchase of the product or service.
I have moved triathlon clubs, how do I change this on my membership card?
To change the triathlon club to which you belong, please email us at membership@britishtriathlon.org. You can be a member of more than one triathlon club, but you cannot represent more than one club in races (there are exceptions for university/service units). You can change clubs once only per year. Applications to change club must be sent to British Triathlon Membership Services. If you will be racing at the Home Nation Relay Championships, your application must be received by British Triathlon Membership Services at least 14 days prior to the event as stated in our competition rule book.
Is my bike covered under the membership insurance benefit?
Our membership benefit does not include cover for your bike however our bicycle insurance partner Yellow Jersey offer comprehensive cover tailored for triathletes, and as a British Triathlon Home Nation membership, you get access to an exclusive discount.
