Peter Coulson has made many and varied contributions to triathlon in Great Britain from representing us at the founding ITU Congress and for first Official ITU World Championships and Annual Congress in Avignon to sundry ETU Congresses.
Showing an adventurous spirit indeed, he accepted the role of Director of the 1993 ITU Triathlon World Championships in Manchester, with only six months to prepare and deliver. Before the era of UK Sport and Performance funding, he managed the GB Elite and Junior teams, where there was squad success at all levels and served as a member of the British Triathlon Association Board of Directors at various stages, including a successful term as Chair. His commitment to the organisation and passion for the sport were unwaivering.
