This international triathlete burst onto the triathlon scene, as a precocious sixteen year old, winning his first world title as a junior in 1992.
He completed a formidable jump to senior level by taking out the next two Senior World Titles as well, with time to spare! He won a further three European titles, one in duathlon and several other medals. A passionate Briton, he was famous for his no-nonsense, lead from the front tactics and for his feisty entourage including his late great father Bill and his coach of the same name. He was always keen to contribute advice, and his image, to support the British Triathlon Association’s junior and development programmes such as Do Tri, and is today active as a coach.
