Ian has been involved in triathlon for many years and has won a number of National Age-Group titles.

Ian has been involved in triathlon for many years and has won a number of national Age-Group titles. He has been a Great Britain Age-Group Manager and a triathlon club coach helping local triathletes in the South East achieve their personal triathlon challenges.  Ian has held a number of positions on committees including the British Triathlon Association Performance Committee and Elite Selection Committee. 

More recently Ian has been part of the Board that has led British Triathlon to two Sport Governing Body of the Year Awards in the last three years from the Sport Industry Group.  He served on the British Triathlon Board as Independent Non-Executive Director for Business Strategy advising the Board and Senior Management on business, legal, governance and strategic matters.  Ian originally qualified as a solicitor, but has worked in industry in a variety of operational and corporate roles since the early 1980s. 

Ian was previously the President and Chair of British Triathlon and currently sits on the board of World Triathlon.
