Our new Head of Social Impact will play a critical role in shaping British Triathlon’s Social Impact objectives and culture, and support colleagues to deliver those objectives.
You will be a passionate advocate for positive change, with a focus on embedding inclusivity and sustainability into the fabric of British Triathlon.
You will act as strategic lead, and critical friend, to develop detailed action plans, programmes, and policies and to influence, motivate and support colleagues to deliver impactful, measurable outcomes from our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy and our Sustainability Strategy.
We’re searching for a strategic planner with strong collaboration and communication skills, who is comfortable constructively challenging others and being challenged in return, and who isn’t afraid to seek help and input along the way. You’ll have a proven track record of strategy implementation, with experience of leading committees and working groups, alongside a sound overview of, and passionate interest in, the equality, diversity and inclusion, and sustainability, landscapes.
You’ll be motivated by an environment with frequent challenges which require collaboration to develop new policies and governance structures, merging innovative thinking with more systematic processual approaches. Seeing projects through from start to finish, and making calculated, evidence-based decisions, you’ll enjoy balancing accuracy and quality with a need to ensure projects are progressed at an appropriate pace.
While lots of people who work at British Triathlon love sport, or just getting out in the great outdoors, this isn’t essential! We aim to employ a wide mix of different people who can bring different skills and passions to the workplace. So, if you think this role sounds like a good fit, but you think you might not be sporty enough to fit in, please don’t worry - we’d love to hear from you.
The role will benefit from our successful hybrid working model, where Tuesday to Thursday all colleagues work from our Loughborough head office, providing a supportive, collaborative, and fun working environment, and flexible working on Mondays and Fridays, working from home as work commitments allow.
British Triathlon offers a competitive benefits package that includes:
- 25 days annual leave, increasing with length of service, enhanced with a flexible holiday buying scheme
- A commitment to your development, with weekly and monthly time ringfenced for personal and collaborative learning and development
- 2 days paid volunteer leave
- Free and accessible parking outside the Loughborough head office and secure covered bike storage
- Pension scheme, life assurance scheme, and private medical insurance to care for you and your loved ones
- Support for a healthy lifestyle, including discounted gym membership and a cycle to work scheme
British Triathlon is passionate about developing an environment that makes Britain the world’s leading triathlon nation, enabling success and increasing participation. We’re looking for people that can bring skills and ambition to an inclusive, people-centred workplace, who are determined to create positive impact, and who value doing what’s right above doing what is expected.
