Triathlon England Independent Non-Executive Director - Welfare & Safeguarding

As an independent non-executive director, you will be providing strategic leadership for all Wellbeing and Safeguarding components of the Triathlon England strategy.

In this role you will be contributing fully to Triathlon England Management Board discussion and activity across the whole strategy, as well as providing non-executive leadership to the executive team on the development and implementation of strategy relating to safeguarding, mental health and wellbeing, anti-doping, and other sport integrity matters. The role will also involve  being an advocate for welfare and safeguarding, highlighting its importance both with stakeholders and across the organisation and its participants.

We’re searching for someone who can demonstrate exceptional knowledge and experience in two (or more) of the following areas:

  • a proven track record of success as a key organisational player, significantly involved in delivering strategic outcomes within the private, public, or voluntary sector;
  • a background in sport welfare and safeguarding, with experience at both operational and strategic levels;
  • an understanding of the vital importance of sport welfare and safeguarding to strategic success;
  • strong experience in non-executive roles;
  • a sound working knowledge of sport and the impact of sport in society.
