Welcome and Happy New Year to you all…
What a year we have in prospect for our region. As most of you will know Nottingham will welcome prospective Olympians to the city next summer for the inaugural Accenture World Triathlon Mixed Relay Nottingham.
The evening event is set to take place on Thursday 7 June and will witness some of the world’s top triathlon quartets dive into the River Trent, before racing around Victoria Embankment on both bike and foot, just two days before they head north to take on the British leg of the ITU World Triathlon Series in Leeds.

We’re keen to work with clubs to help them understand what’s happening at the event and the ways they could get involved as participants, volunteers and spectators including, alongside the Junior VIP, helping create a social event for clubs with the provision of a Club Zone where you can pitch your club’s gazebo and take in the action.

Tuesday 16 January sees the launch of entries for BTF members, before going on public sale with ‘early bird’ prices on 31 January. These will include £45 for individual sprint and £40 per person (pro rata) in an exciting new format where three people team up to each race all three disciplines of a sprint triathlon in the same wave and have their times combined…more to be announced about this in the next couple of weeks, including exclusive prizes that will be available for this wave.
