With thanks to the teams at Walden Tri and Nice Tri, the 2017 East Region League is now underway.
Walden Tri, a sprint distance event, on Sunday 30th April opened the season and one week later the standard distance race at St Neots 1 quickly followed that up.
With seventeen more races over the coming four months, including the Regional Relays and three Regional Championships, the current Club and current Individual Standings are likely to develop into a keenly contested competition.
Following the first two races Meridian Triathlon Club have an early league in the Club Standings, with Kiera Tipett, Emma Deary (Yonda Race), Alice Barnes (Meridian), Janice Page (Harlow), Mael Bely (Walden), Lee Shipp (Diss CC), Simon Smith and Stephen Douglas (Meridian) taking early leads in their respective age groups in the Individual Standings.
The league is open to Triathlon England members within the East Region.
If you have raced or plan to race at a 2017 League Event do join Triathlon England to partake in the league. All you need is Triathlon England membership and entries into the races.
If you haven’t yet entered the races you may well want to do so before they all fill.
