Two of the 2017 Norfolk Sport Awards (NSA) were won by Triathlon, with Kimberley Morrison as Norfolk’s Sports Personality of the Year and Tri-Anglia Triathlon Club as Norfolk’s Community Club of the year.
Kimberley Morrison raced as professional triathlete for a second season in 2017 and continues to grow in stature. She is now one of the fastest ladies on a bike on the World’s Ironman 70.3 circuit posting five bike course records during the year. The NSA Sports Personality of the Year 2017 was sponsored by Pilch and presented by Ben Jones, Director of Active Norfolk.
Tri-Anglia Triathlon Club have grown from under 100 members in 2005 to 640 members in 2017, they host five triathlons a year to encourage local newcomers to the sport of triathlon. The NSA Community Club of the Year 2017 was sponsored by Sportspark and presented by Phil Steele, Director of Sport, Sportspark, UEA. The award was collected by Jane Hannah - Chair, Jennifer Bettinson - Treasurer and Emily Jones - Social Secretary.
