National Trust opens it's doors to new triathletes at Wimpole Hall Estate, as it hosted the inaugural Go Tri duathlon run by Meridian Triathlon Club
The National Trust at Wimpole Hall Estate hosted a GO TRI duathlon which was run by Meridian Triathlon Club. 40 new triathletes took to the stunning grounds of Wimpole to enjoy a short and fun duathlon which started and finished right outside the spectacular Hall in rolling countryside. Almost half the participants were women and most were first timers to triathlon events.
Special thanks goes to John Harris at Wimpole Hall for all his co-operation and planning of the event and of course to Meridian Triathlon Club and race director Rachel Cubberley, who took up the challenge of delivering the event at a National Trust property and did a spectacular job. The event went off without a hitch, receiving a stream of positive comments on social media. Well done Meridian Tri Club.
The club are hopefully looking at putting more events on at Wimpole over the next 12 months.
