Bloodwise Blenheim Palace Triathlon
The elite field at the Bloodwise Blenheim Palace Triathlon is reserved for the best triathletes around the globe. Having previously welcomed ITU Champions & Olympic Gold Medallists to the field, the event has become an established fixture on the British elite calendar.
For 2018, the event will host a mixed Junior and Senior elite sprint distance race. The Youth race will play host to the Youth Olympic Games qualifier.
Please note British Youth age groups and European Youth age groups do not match. Any 2001 born athletes (who would normally race as a Junior in Britain) can qualify for the Youth Olympic Games. Such athletes will have 2 options at this event:
- Race in the Junior event and NOT BE ELIGIBLE for selection for the Youth Olympic Games
- Race in the Youth Qualification event (in the Youth Race) and BE ELIGIBLE for selection for the Youth Olympic Games
Please ensure you enter the correct wave. Also please see the selection policy which will be available on the BTF website by the end of January.
This event has a mix of Juniors and Seniors. All Juniors wishing to race must attend their respective Home Nation Performance Assessment. For English, Welsh and Scottish athletes this on 14th and 15th of April. English and Welsh athletes are in Loughborough and the Scots in Lochgelly. More information on how the entry process to the Youth and Junior Super Series works can be found here and on Performance Assessments here (for England and Wales) and here (for Scotland)
