Awards nominations closing soon

Volunteers have helped swim, bike, run happen throughout 2020 despite the pandemic and nominations for the Triathlon England Awards close on Wednesday 2 September.

The annual awards recognise and celebrate the work of volunteers who help make the sport what it is, with the seven awards categories reflecting the different ways in which triathlon has continued throughout Covid-19.

New categories that celebrate the virtual nature of swim, bike, run during 2020, as well as key workers from across the sport have been included alongside traditional categories such as Club, Coach and Volunteer of the Year.

Nominations close on Wednesday 2 September at 12 noon, with events and activities from the date last year’s nominations closed (5 September 2019) eligible to be nominated.

In 2019, 799 nominations were cast, with winners in each category from the 10 English regions going forward to the national awards.

The overall winners were announced at the inaugural Triathlon England conference last November, and you can view the list of winners here.

The seven categories are below and you can find out more about each one by clicking here.
