Coaching and Volunteers Week

Published:

From 1-9 June we’ll be celebrating UK Coaching Week and Volunteers Week by promoting stories from Coaches and Volunteers within our sport!

The theme of UK Coaching Week is ‘Community Coaching’ and we will be taking the opportunity to promote local coaches, volunteers and organised sessions from British Triathlon Affiliated Clubs, Permitted Events, AJ Bell World Triathlon Leeds and GO TRI Active Sessions; all of whom are making a difference in their local communities through providing triathlon activities and support.

The work of coaches and volunteers throughout our sport is invaluable and often takes place behind the scenes, going unnoticed by so many. Whether that’s bringing new people into our sport, developing athletes and clubs, delivering events, volunteering or officiating at them, we want to hear about and celebrate all that they do!

How can you get involved and promote coaches and volunteers?

  1. Post a picture of coaches and volunteers that you interact with during the week on social media using #volunteersweek and #greatcoaching, tagging @brittri
  2. Share your stories to celebrate coaches and volunteers who have helped you using #greatcoaching and #volunteersweek, tagging @brittri
  3. Share your coaching and volunteering experiences with us @britti, #volunteersweek and #greatcoaching
  4. Make a #greatcoachingpledge to commit to supporting and empowering the coaches who have made a difference in your triathlon journey

Keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter channels to hear stories from coaches and volunteers in triathlon, and don’t forget to share with us stories from your triathlon journey!
