The vision of EduCare and British Triathlon's partnership is to educate as many people as possible.
EduCare are experts in safeguarding and duty of care. EduCare for Sport is EduCare's comprehensive e-learning service for the sports sector and contains a broad range of online courses including Child Protection, Equality & Diversity, Safer Recruitment and Safeguarding Young People.
A suite of 14 e-learning courses are available free to Club Welfare Officers, with the below mandatory for completion by 31 December 2018;
- Child Protection in Sport and Active Leisure*
- Safeguarding Young People*
- Safeguarding Adults*
- Equality and Diversity*
All Club Welfare Officers should now have received log in details via email which have been sent directly by EduCare. All of the above courses can be accessed free of charge by using the log in details provided in your registration email.
Courses can be completed in one go or in bite size chunks. Once completed you will receive a certificate which we recommend you share with your club committee for good governance purposes. We recommend that completed training is recorded by each club to support with good governance and future accreditation, such as TriMark.

In addition to the offer to Club Welfare Officers, British Triathlon and EduCare are also providing discounted access to the above training to other key personnel within BTF accredited clubs. This includes committee members, BTF qualified coaches and volunteers. Courses can be accessed for £10 + VAT (£12) instead of the usual service value of £75 per person.
