With the 2019 Triathlon England Award Nominations currently open; we got in touch with Arctic One, organisers of the 2018 Triathlon England Commercial Event of the Year Arctic One Tri and Para Tri Festival, about what being an award winner means.
To be nominated by your participants is a great thank you and encouragement to us as Event Organisers. To be recognised for delivering high quality events that our participants enjoy is a fantastic feeling – even if we were surprised to be nominated, let alone win!
Being able to recognise and reward volunteers across our sport for the hard work and dedicated time that they put in, is a really important thing to do to keep volunteers engaged and motivated to volunteer. Volunteers are integral to sport, and whether it’s in clubs or events, they are invaluable to our sport.
Our events are run by volunteers and we rely entirely on the time freely given to be able to offer these paratri opportunities. A nomination is a great thank you, so please nominate your favourite events this year!
If you want to publicly recognise a volunteer who has helped you on your triathlon journey, nominate them for one of the 2019 Triathlon England Awards. There are 10 awards that volunteers can be nominated for:
