The lido is a great day out in the heart of Cheltenham, on the edge of the Cotswolds. It is a children's paradise with slides, a children's pool and a paddling pool. Our 50m pool is also an ideal place to train, two lanes are reserved most days.

Overview
The Devil's Aquathlon is a tough swimming and running challenge which raises funds for two charities and is designed for competitors aged 19 and above who enjoy a personal or team challenge. The event starts with a 2km swim in Sandford Parks Lido's 50m main pool. The heating to the main pool will have been turned off at the end of the summer season and the water temperature will have dropped considerably. (2010 pool temperature - 62F/16C) Wetsuits are advisable but not necessary. Competitors then run out of the lido and up to the Devil's Chimney on Leckhampton Hill and then return to finish in the lido grounds, a round route of 10km.The event is managed in partnership with Sandford Lido Ltd (Registered charity #1052203) and Macmillan Cancer Support (Registered charity #261017)
