Overview

The Plymouth Triathlon returns to Mount Batten on the 29th September 2019. With medals for all finishers as well as prizes for the top three in each age category, there is something for everyone.

The plan is for all competitors to set-off in a single wave at 07:15 am, however, this is entry dependent and may be subject to change. Although it is an open water event, please don’t be put off – the swim portion of the event takes place in a very sheltered part of the Plymouth Sound at slack tide.

This event is run alongside the Plymouth Junior Aquathlon and promises to be an exciting and action-packed morning of racing for all the family!

The race will begin with an open water two lap swim (1500m) in Plymouth Sound at slack high tide, followed by an undulating cycle route (~40km). The bike takes in picturesque country roads heading out to Modbury, before returning back to Mount Batten. The run will involve a two lap, mixed terrain loop around the Mount Batten peninsula (~10km).
