Event Overview

Taking full advantage of the wonderful facilities at the Basildon Sporting Village and surrounding Gloucester Park, East Essex Tri Club will be hosting a series of races during the day for TriStars, Youths and Adults. The race is suitable for beginners as well as serious competitors with experienced marshals on hand to guide you through the event. For the more competitive TriStars & Youths, this race forms part of Triathlon Englands’s East Region Junior Race Series.

The TriStar’s will swim either 2, 6, 10 or 16 lengths (depending on age) and the Adult/Youth’s will swim 16 lengths, in a snake style. Transition will be through a fire exit, directly outside the pool, then competitors will leave the Sporting Village complex to complete the run in the grounds of Gloucester Park. TriStars will follow a flat out and back course (distance according to age) and Adults/Youths will run 5km, mainly on tarmac with some sections on grass. The finish will be back in the Basildon Sporting Village
