Tweed Triathlon Club, based in Berwick-upon-Tweed, representing triathlon and fitness enthusiasts across North Northumberland and the Scottish Borders, are hosting their third triathlon event after the success of the first 2 years. The pool swim will be based in the Swan Centre swimming pool, Berwick-upon-Tweed. The swim order will be dictated in waves based on submitted ‘estimated swim times'.Transition will be sited in the car park adjacent to the pool.The bike route is a 21.6km loop taking in 3 bridges and 2 border crossings, before heading back to the Swan Centre for transition.The run is 5.7k, taking in two more bridge crossings and the magnificent Elizabethan Ramparts and famous Berwick Walls before again returning to the Swan Centre to cross the finish line next to the transition area.The lower reaches of the Tweed provide an impressive back drop for this event. Berwick’s unique and historic environment, spanning both sides of the border, is a great place to explore.
