This Safe and Trained Ltd course is internationally award-nominated and has been tailored for anyone involved in traffic management at venues and events. The course takes the format of a day’s classroom based learning and work based practical assessment and is accredited through the National College of Further Education.
The Chapter 8 Course Covers:
- The personal responsibilities placed on a Traffic Management Operative to act safely and lawfully
- Practical application of setting out Temporary Road closures
- Use of Stop and Go Boards and lane closures within an authorised Event Traffic Management Plan.
- A Temporary Traffic Road Management Order (TTRMO) which would be put in place by the Traffic Authority to authorise the plan and road closures etc.
The qualification allows a certified person to become a Traffic Management Operative (TMO), and to sign and implement road closures and diversions.
