The GE Aviation Aquathlon is a flat fast aquathlon with two levels of competition. There is a 400m swim/2.5km run race and an 800m swim/5km run race. The swim is held in the 50m main pool of Sandford Parks Lido and the run route is a mixture of path and then a route around Sandford Park before finishing back in the grounds of the lido. The event also raises funds for Sandford Lido Ltd, the charitable trust which operates Sandford Parks Lido.
