Overview

In 2019 we held our first triathlon & SwimRun, based in the pretty market town of Helmsley in the North York Moors National Park.

800m Swim in Yorkshire's only heated 25m Lido. Pool Temp 26-29C. 4 lanes - max 5 swimmers per lane, rolling start

40km Cycle of the stunning 'Bransdale Loop'. It is very hilly but relatively traffic free. We cycle the route anti-clockwise to avoid RH turns. Hopefully the purple heather of the National Park will be in all its glory - just watch out for sheep

10km Run - the Helmsley 10km multi-terrain route. Very popular with runners on Easter day since its inception 10 years ago. We head back into the heart of the Moors taking in super views above the valley of Riccaldale before heading back to Helmsley with its imposing castle

All proceeds from the event go to the charity run swimming pool. £200K was spent in 2019 renewing the pool tank, apron and surround. Our next task is to renew the 52 year old pool building so that it is fit for purpose for the 21st Century.

If training prior to race day please keep to the public rights of way AROUND Reagarth Farm rather than the farm track running through it.

The last aquathletes should exit the pool around 10am. At this point spectators / families may use the pool until 11am - usually adult / child ratios apply. Please note that from 11:15am the pool will be open to the public as usual although there will no access to the transition areas.

We hope to have photographers and medals and by taking part you agree for us to use any images of the event.
