This is the first open water Triathlon on the Welsh circuit and always attracts a large field of athletes. It will part of the new Welsh Super Sprint Series and will be televised on S4C. The event attracts first time triathletes or those giving open water triathlon a go for the very first time to the very experienced quality triathletes from across the UK. The event takes place at the North Dock in the Millennium Coastal Park and starts with a 750m swim in the safe haven of the North Dock. A 27km bike ride follows and takes you down to the outskirts of the historic Town of Kidwelly, which is a fast, flat course before you return to transition at the North Dock. The 5km run takes you along the scenic Millennium Coastal Path with a fantastic finish outside the Discovery Centre.
