A fantastic entry level aquathlon where our supportive team will help you take your first steps into the sport. You will swim 400m swim at the London Aquatics Centre and run a 5km around the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Race Details

When: Saturday 17 August 2019 at 09:00 (Wave 1) and 10:00 (Wave 2). Exact wave start times will be determined by the estimated 400m swim times provided during registration and communicated to participants in the week leading up to the race.

Where: London Aquatics Centre, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London. E20 2ZQ.

Pricing: £30 (BTF Members), £33 (non-BTF members)

Entry on the Day: Subject to a £3 surcharge (cash only, subject to availability).

Age Requirements: Participants must be aged 15 or over on the day of the race.

Registration: From 08:00. Participants will need to register no later than 30 minutes prior to their wave start time.

Race Packs: For collection at registration on the day only, nothing will be posted. Race packs will contain;

• A wristband to facilitate access to the changing area and pool.
• An ankle strap/timing chip and swimming cap displaying your race number, to be worn throughout the swim.
• Number transfers for application to your upper arm.
• A race number and timing chip, to be worn throughout the run.
• British Triathlon Event Day Membership (if unaffiliated).

Timing: Chip-timed.

Licensing: This race will be licensed with the British Triathlon Federation and the results submitted within a week of the race.

Facilities

Bag Drop: Lockers are available in the changing area and require a returnable £1 coin.

Toilets: There are free toilets in the changing area and on the 5K race route at the Last Drop Bar & Kitchen.

Race Marshals: Marshals will be present on the 5K course throughout the race.

Distance Markers: The 5K route will be clearly indicated with arrows, tape and Km markers where necessary.

Water Stations: There will be a water station on the 5K route at the finish, passed on each lap, at which water will be provided in recyclable plastic cups.

Results/Prizes

Results: Results will be uploaded live to our website (internet connection permitting) and, where possible/practical, timing print-outs will be available at the race. In all cases, results will be communicated to all pre-registered participants within 24 hours of the event.

Medals: All finishers will receive a medal on completing the race.
