On Saturday 4 August 2018 a collective of elite Mixed Relay teams will compete for the Accenture British Triathlon Mixed Relay Cup
Elite Teams formed around British Triathlon’s National Performance Centres, will see highly experienced elite triathletes on the British Triathlon Performance Programme compete alongside up and coming talent.
Teams will comprised of two men and two women who each complete the short-course triathlon (300m swim, 5.6km bike, 1.4km run) before ‘tagging’ their teammate to take over.
Birmingham Triathlon Performance Centre
Based at the University of Birmingham’s £55 million Sport & Fitness club which opened in May 2017, the Triathlon Club was established in 1996 and has grown to be 110 athletes strong currently with a performance squad of 12. Notable alumni of the Triathlon Club include Non Stanford, 2013 ITU World Champion and Alison Patrick, silver medallist in 2016 Rio Paralympics.
Cardiff - National Triathlon Performance Centre of Wales
The National Triathlon Performance Centre of Wales (NTPCW), based in Cardiff, is a partnership between Welsh Triathlon, Cardiff Metropolitan and Cardiff University, and was established in 2017. There are currently 15 athletes training full-time at the Centre with a mixture of professional athletes and students, plus many more athletes engaged through the Athletic Union clubs in the respective Universities. The aim of the Centre is to enable athletes to maximise their potential and to perform at the highest international level in triathlon.
Leeds Triathlon Centre
The Leeds Triathlon Centre supports over 80 athletes from Elites to University Team level. The centres vision is to ‘‘To create a world leading triathlon environment that inspires and develops people who realise their potential’. There has been a Triathlon Programme based in Leeds since October 2004, built on a base of athletes that had been developed through a regional Talent ID and Development programme.
Loughborough Triathlon Performance Centre
The Loughborough Triathlon Performance Centre (LTPC) operates a fully-integrated World-Class Olympic, Paralympic and University Performance Programme. The centre which is based at the Loughborough University Campus in Loughborough provides a unique opportunity for talented athletes to maximise their potential.

Stirling Performance Centre is the base of the Scottish national performance programme and helps prepare promising triathletes for success at the highest levels, including gaining selection for Team Scotland at future Commonwealth Games.
