Get involved in the triathlon festivities on 2 September 2017 with an event perfect for novice triathletes
Alongside the televised showcase Mixed Relay Cup event, a brand new and exciting mass participation triathlon event is taking place in Nottingham on Saturday 2 September 2017.
The event, aimed at novice triathletes, offers an opportunity to experience closed roads racing alongside the River Trent on Nottingham’s famous Victoria Embankment.
With two distances available participants will take part in a pool swim, followed by a very safe bike ride on closed roads and a flat run.
- Triathlon: 300m pool swim, 12km bike, 3km run
- GO TRI: 200m pool swim, 7km bike, 1.5km run
Closing date - 28 August 2017 at 11.59pm
If you’ve not done many triathlons before, this event is guarenteed to be a friendly introduction to the sport for everyone who takes part. The swim will take place in a 33m pool, so you’ll need to cover six/nine lengths before grabbing your bike and heading for the Embankment where the bike and run set up will also be used by the elite athletes later in the day.
This will be a top-notch, professionally run event with electronic timing, unique finishers t-shirts and a first for Nottinghamshire with closed roads being offered. To find out more and take up this this unique and exciting challenge visit the event website.
