A children's/youths open water and closed road cycle triathlon. Open water lake swim, followed by a closed road tarmac cycle circuit and a run circuit on pathways within the country park.If not uniquely the only British Triathlon sanctioned event of its type, then one of only a few. The children/youths not only get to swim free from plant life in a beautiful country park lake with an excellent ramp exit but they actually race on a proper highways road (not footpaths) which will be fully closed to traffic. Put another way this event has evolved over a number of years into what could now best be described as "an adult type course for children and youth distances". All the excitement in a great location!
