Intention to Qualify

To be eligible for qualification register your intent to qualify by 5pm on the Friday before the qualification race.

Click the blue 'Register' button on this page and log in with your Home Nation membership number and password. Click here for help.

Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email and will be added to the registration list below.

Check your registration has been successful by checking the registration list below before the deadline. (If you do not appear, check if you are moving up into another age group for the Championship year.)

No registrations will be accepted after the final registration time and date have passed. Athletes who register after 5pm on the deadline for a qualification race but then compete in that race will not be considered eligible for qualification from that race and their registration will only cover the remaining races.

You do not need to specify which qualification race you are doing.

Anyone who registers after 5pm on the deadline for a qualification and still competes in the race will not be considered eligible for qualification from that race and their registration will only cover the remaining races.

To qualify athletes must;

  • Registered their intent to qualify for the championship race by 5pm Friday prior to the qualifying event.

  • Complete the qualification race within 120% of the winner in their age group.

  • Be one of the first four finishers in the race who have registered their intent to qualify before the deadline.

Please note

- Athletes finishing in the first 4 places per age group but outside 120% of the winner of that age group will only be offered a place at the Team Manager’s discretion.

- Athletes finishing outside the first 4 places per age group but inside 120% of the winner of that age group may still be able to qualify with a Rolldown Place. Details of Rolldown Places can be found here

- In order to be eligible to qualify and compete in this event athletes must be 16 on the 31st December 2021. Do not register your intent to qualify if you do not meet this age limit, you will be unable to qualify and compete in the championship.

- When the qualification races take place in the year preceding the Championships, qualification is based on an athlete's finishing time compared to those athletes in the same age group during the year of the Championships. If athletes are moving up into an age group in 2021, their qualification is based on where their finishing time places them in the age group they will be racing in during 2021. Athletes could finish in the first 4 in their age group but an athlete moving into that age group could push you someone of a qualifying position if their time is faster. Please see point 8.3 in the Terms and Conditions.

- We recommend you do not leave registering your intent to qualify until the last minute before each deadline.

- Please check there is capacity in the race to enter before you pay your £10 registration fee as this is non-refundable.

* Draft legal status is TBC
