Kate, who is based at Leeds, is a multiple international and European medal winner at junior, U23 and elite level.
Kate has taken home several ETU and ITU medals since her step up to U23. Racing the longer, and more demanding, Olympic distance events hasn’t been a problem for Kate, securing silver in the Mixed U23-Junior Relay at ITU Grand Final Lausanne and an individual silver in an Elite Women’s race at Malmö ETU.
Kate completed her A-Levels in 2017 and took up a place at Leeds University in Autumn 2018 to study psychology.
Kate recorded her first major win in 2014 at the Penza U23 Youth and European Championships Women Relay. From there she won the British Triathlon Female Elite Junior Triathlete of the Year in 2015 and has built on her junior performances since then.
Her success continued into 2016, beginning with a 2nd place finish at the Quarteira Junior European Cup and rounding off the year with a silver medal at the ITU World Triathlon Grand Final Cozumel Mixed U23-Junior Relay.
Kate won the ETU European junior title in June 2017 and then went on to win silver at the world championships in Rotterdam in September. In her final year as a junior, she won world bronze in 2018 on the Gold Coast.
One of Kate’s standout results came in 2019 where she featured in the Mixed U23-Junior Relay team that crossed the line in 2nd place at Lausanne, as well as celebrating individual silver and bronze medals at the Malmö ETU Sprint Triathlon European Cup and the Nur-Sultan ITU Triathlon World Cup respectively.
2021 saw Kate win her first World Triathlon Cup medals courtesy of back-to-back second-place finishes in South Korea to end the year. It was a year that also saw Kate make her World Triathlon Championship Series debut in Hamburg, recording a ninth-place finish in her first World Series event.
It was one of six top-10 finishes in 2021 for Kate including fifth at the European Triathlon Championships and 10th in the U23 race at the World Triathlon Championship Finals in Edmonton, along with her season-ending medal successes in South Korea.
