Michael Salisbury

In the short time since competing in his first race in September 2020, Michael Salisbury has become British champion, won at the British Triathlon Super Series Grand Final and represented Great Britain including at the World Triathlon Para Championships.

Michael is a British Champion in paratriathlon and has represented Great Britain at the World Championships since taking up the sport in 2020 after being encouraged to do so by friends at university.

He took part in his first paratriathlon across middle distance in 2020 and after attending a Virtual British Triathlon Talent ID session he raced in the British Triathlon Super Series in May 2021.

That same year he became British Champion and won the British Triathlon Super Series Grand Final. He topped off the season with his international paratriathlon debut, coming fifth at World Triathlon Para Cup Alhandra. At the start of 2022 he won a silver medal in the European Championship before retaining the British title. After a second ninth place finish in a row at a World Triathlon Para Series race, he returned to Alhandra and finished second. His World Championship debut ended his season as he came ninth in Abu Dhabi.

Major Results

2023 saw him finish third at the European Championships with his only other medal that season coming at World Triathlon Para Cup Long Beach where he secured another bronze medal.
