The National Triathlon Performance Centre Wales  is a partnership between Cardiff Metropolitan University, Cardiff University and Welsh Triathlon. The aim of the Performance Centre is to develop athletes with the performance standards to be selected onto the Great Britain Performance Pathway.  Athletes will be working with the Performance Centre coach, Luke Watson, who has responsibility for the management and delivery of the Centre's training programmes, camps and race support. Talented athletes who meet the required performance standards are able to access the programme, and do not necessarily need to be studying at one of the universities.
