Athletes should submit performances providing the following information:

  • Race name, race date, finish time & finish position.
  • Winner of Age-Groups time.
  • Link to the online results.

This information should be entered into the box provided when registering online to qualify. Any athlete not supplying this information on their application by the closing date for registration will not be considered for select.

Please do not register for this event without a performance to submit at the time of registering. Once you have obtained a performance you would like to submit for qualification you can then register for this event. If you register and submit a performance which does not receive qualification and then go on to achieve another qualifying performance before the registration closing date you can 'edit your performance details' via your membership welcome page and re-submit a performance. You will not have to pay another £10 but you will need to notify the team manager you have re-submitted an entry.

To be eligible for a qualifying place all athletes will be required to have completed their nominated race within 115% of the winner in their age group. Places will be allocated in three phases.  If your age group becomes oversubscribed with performances within the qualification criteria then allocation of places will go to athletes that have provided the best results on the following distances in this order of preference:

  • O3 Distance;
  • Ironman;
  • O2 Distance (Middle Distance)
  • Half Ironman

As many as all 20 places can be awarded during the first selection phase if sufficient numbers apply and meet the qualification criteria. The remaining selection phases will allocate any remaining places. Successful athletes will receive an email confirming they have been allocated a place 1-2 weeks after the registration deadline and will appear on the list of applicants with a Q by their name.

Allocation of places will be awarded as follows:

  • allocation of places to athletes that applied by 5pm Friday 3rd February 2012
  • allocation of any remaining places to athletes that applied by 5pm 6th April 2012
  • allocation of any remaining places to athletes that applied by 5pm Friday 1st June 2012
