Coaching

Learning Hub

The Learning hub is the e-learning resource for all British Triathlon Coaches.

Requirements, Policies & Procedures

All coaches, leaders and activators must prioritise certain fundamental elements, starting with a specific focus on safeguarding, ensuring they have appropriate membership insurance cover to protect themselves.

Each course will have a set of entry requirements, that will determine eligibility of entry. The following are general requirements to all courses. If you are unsure if you meet any of these areas, please contact the coaching team to discuss.

Membership

You must hold a valid Essential, Core or Ultimate Home Nation membership to access courses and maintain membership for the entire course. This additionally provides insurance cover during your training, and once you are qualified.

Safeguarding Requirements

All British Triathlon coaches, activators and leaders are required to attain a safeguarding qualification to allow us to maintain safeguarding standards to a consistent level across the sport.

DBS

British Triathlon is committed to safeguarding children and adults at risk and will ensure that all reasonable steps are taken to make certain that it is appropriate for all individuals working with children or adults at risk in triathlon, either paid or unpaid, to do so.

Attendance & Computer Access

Full attendance for courses are needed as well as access to a computer, tablet, or smartphone.

Coaches Code of Practice

A code of practice defines what is considered good and correct behaviour of all British Triathlon coaches. It reflects the values held by the coaching profession, and outlines the expected conduct of members while they perform their duties.

Policies & Procedures

In our policies and procedures section, we outline the guidelines and protocols that govern our operations, ensuring a consistent and reliable experience for all learners.
