The Yorkshire region are hosting a Skills School day at Mount Saint Mary's College on Sunday 2nd April
Starting at 12.00pm and concluding at 4.30pm for Juniors and 9.30am till 5.00pm for coaches.
Who can attend?
It's for triathletes aged 11-16. As long as the young athlete is able to swim, bike and run for 5 minutes they are eligible for Skills School.
Its also a great day for coaches to develop their knowledge working with junior athletes. Up to 6 club coaches can attend the day. The coaches will have the opportunity to develop their coaching skills in line with the Skills School ethos with problem based learning through game based sessions. Please contact Rob Bridges to book onto the day as a coach.

What the sessions are we focusing on?
The day will consist of swimming and running sessions focusing on a number skills and tactics specific to triathlon. Mount Saint Mary's College is an independent School with a 6 lane synthetic track and an 18m, 4 lane pool, both of which we will have full use of. The school provides a stunning setting and perfect for a Skills School day.
Skills School is a new British Triathlon initiative based around athletes exploring through play and developing their skills through creative and innovative sessions. The athletes will be encouraged to develop their technical, tactical and mental skills during the sessions.
