Course Information
British Triathlon are hosting a National Skills School Experience Day at WTS Leeds, Event Village at Roundhay Park on Saturday 8th June. Start time is from 9am to 12pm (registration from 08:45)
Skills School is a British Triathlon initiative based around athletes exploring through play and developing their skills through creative and innovative sessions. The athletes will be encouraged to develop their technical, tactical and mental skills during the sessions.
Who can attend?
The Skills School Experience Day is for triathletes aged between 8 and 16. As long as the young athlete is able to swim, bike and run for 5 minutes they are eligible for Skills School.
What sessions are we focusing on?
The morning will consist of running and cycling sessions focusing on a number of skills and tactics specific to triathlon, including mount dismount skills, duathlon challenges and run pacing. All contained within our dedicated Skills School area within the Event Village, we have access to a large grass area of Roundhay Park, suitable for off-road cycling and running. Athletes will also get the opportunity to tour the elite transition zone. Athletes will need to have access to their own bikes and helmets on the day.
There will be access to changing facilities in the Roundhay Mansion House.
A Skills School Water Bottle and Swim Hat will be available to every athlete as a take home momento.
